I am happy that I have been given the opportunity to prove my love and passion for what I do, through the WSPC and BSA training programs! Going through the coffee’s third wave and entering the fourth, the market requirements for development need reliable, impartial, and certified training aimed at professionalism, from the very beginning of the Barista career. I am positive that the WSPC Coffee School as a whole, will inspire market professionals and young people alike, with the same passion for the immense field of coffee, cocoa and tea, and together we will be able to introduce them to this magical world. What could be more beautiful than "making" someone's day with a genuine smile and an even tastier beverage!
Christos Kostavasilis was born in Athens in 1992. In 2015 he graduated from the School of Engineering Department of Naval Architecture from the University of West Attica. During his studies he also worked for the family business in Athens, and for the company AKRON TRADE & TRANSPORT in the United Arab Emirates, as Assistant Chief Engineer, in the quality & control department (2012). In 2013 he returned to Piraeus where he worked as an Assistant Chief Engineer in the technical department of the company PHOENIX REGISTER OF SHIPPING.
His involvement with coffee, tea and cocoa came a year later when he worked as a Store Manager and Barista Manager at the Bairro Food & Drink Culture coffee company in Athens. From 2015 to 2017 he worked at ALPHA KAFFE as a Barista Trainer and also participated in the trade fairs HO.RE.CA and Athens Coffee Festival.
In 2016 he is certified as an Instructor by the Beverage Standards Association of UK (BSA) for Levels 1 & 2. In 2017 he collaborated with IEK AKMI as an instructor of BSA programs. . From 2018 until today he has been establishing his own companies, and is now active in the coffee business – first with Balloons Children Playing Paradise and then with Junction in the Yard. He also (2019) collaborated with the Selina Hotel in Volos, Magnesia for the training of its staff.
Since 2021 he is active as a BSA trainer through the WSPC organization, in the new WSPC training areas: Coffee- Cocoa – Tea.
