The SEMELI Scholarship

Granted for the best  score performance of a consumer at all WSET® Qualifications levels of Study -. This scholarship is open only to candidates who are  consumers/ wine lovers following courses at the  WSPC®. The Scholarship covers an educational trip & three- day stay for two people in a suite of the Semeli Winery SA Nemea, during the period of the harvest. The student who excelled and was awarded was Ms. Maria Dassiou. The scholarship was presented by the President of the SEMELI company SA, Mr. George Kokotos.

The VINETUM Scholarship

Will be granted in February 2007, for  the best paper / project to be submitted up to the 19th January 2007 by students of Levels 2 & 3 (WSET® Intermediate & Advanced Certificates), entitled: "You are General Manager of a company that produces sparkling wines. What would you do, in a commercial and marketing context, to increase your sales during off season periods or times of low demand? "For the best paper delivered, the scholarship will cover a six-month  editorial collaboration with the newspaper 'Ambelotopi' The scholarship will be presented by the President of VINETUM  and the President of the "Greek Wine Journalists Union  / ELDOIN" Mr. Constantine Stergidis.

The " APOSTOLAKI FAMILY VINEYARDS " Scholarship

Granted for the best average score of all the individual parts of the WSET® Advanced Certificate / Level 3 examination. The scholarship covers the tuition fees of the first year of study of the  WSET® Level 4 / Diploma. The student who excelled and was awarded was Mr. Michailos Gregory AIWS from the hospitality field. The scholarship was presented by the President and CEO of ARGO WINE APOSTOLAKIS COMPANY  SA, Mr. Apostolos Apostolakis.

The "WSPC®" Scholarship

Granted for the best average score over  all the individual units of the WSET® Higher International Certificate / Level 3 examination  . The scholarship covers the tuition fees for the new training programme for spirits, the WSET® Level 2 / Professional Certificate in Spirits. The student who excelled and was awarded was Ms. Evangelia Gropas from the field of retail market of wines & spirits. The scholarship was presented by the CEO of the training organisation Wine & Spirit Professional Centre Ltd in Greece, Mr. Konstantinos Lazarakis, Master of Wine.

The "W.S. KAROULIAS" Scholarship

Granted for the best average score for the two exams of WSET® - Foundation & Intermediate Certificates / Levels 1 & 2. The scholarship covers the tuition fees for the WSET® Level three / Advanced Certificate.
The student who excelled and was awarded was Ms. An Tran from the field of hospitality. The scholarship was presented by the Managing Director of WS KAROULIAS, Mr. Christos Argyros.

The "HALARI BROTHERS / HYATT ENGLAND" Scholarship

Awarded to a student - a member of the Greek Association of Sommeliers for the best  score on the blind wine-tasting  examination of the third level - WSET® Advanced Certificate. For this scholarship, the company HALARI BROTHERS COMPANY covers all travel and living expenses of the top student in England, in order for him/her  to work at the prestigious and world renowned restaurant-' Aurora' for one week . To Aurora is a restaurant  of the Great Eastern Hotel and belongs to the Hyatt group of companies. The student who excelled and was awarded was  Mr. Nikolaos Giannopoulos. The scholarship was presented by the President of the HALARI BROTHERS Company , Mr Nicholas Halaris.
